From the spelling: "Armor" I assume we're in the US. In any case it doesn't look like any of the mirror lid sets I know. The only US set I can find that vaguely matches is the RCA TRK12: https://www.earlytelevision.org/rca_trk-12.html The unusual shape of the CRT surround matches the TRK12 so possibly one in a custom cabinet.

I'm not very good on pre-war TV's
It's not one of the usual suspects because of the shape of the speaker aperture. I wondered if that smudge on the left is the prancing horse of the Invicta brand they also used that shape of speaker aperture on some of their radios. Anyway that's my guess! Cheers Mike T
What do you mean junk It's rare and desirable

The radio tuner looks like a Dynatron. No idea if they were into mirror lid sets though.
Cheers.

I think Mike's Invicta suggestion is very promising!

"Armour" would be the usual spelling in Australia so it's probably an American photo even if published down under. They didn't have a TV service there until 1956 though experiments were done as early as 1929. As an aside, while I was looking up Aussie TV I found that the prototype of Dame Edna Everage was in 1955.

Hi Steve, It's not the TL8 but possibly the TL2. Unfortunately Invicta seems to get fairly scant coverage in WW and TV&SWW.
