Optimism

I just came across this advert in the November 1941 edition of Electronic Engineering.

   

Given that the US were blissfully unaware of the impending Pearl Harbor attack in November it seems a little optimistic but maybe the Nazis were starting to get bogged down in the USSR by this time.

It sounds very sensible to give people something to look forward to. I wonder if there was some government input to this as they had a lot of things in the mix intelligence / propaganda wise. Also as well as some in industry getting their best out of the war some were forward thinking enough to plan forward. For instance NCP got in and expanded well ready for the boom in car ownership which finally came.
