ordered the 100v 3300 thank you. richie. just a thought i mentioned that the spring reverb end wire had snapped (not the spring) o rings were mentioned any chance of more details to repair it please.
I am not sure what method of construction the reverb will be.
The last one I looked into had the spring between two rubber bits that acted as insulators that fitted over solid brackets on the inside of the cover.
Home made ones used any kind of light weight spring the builder could get his hands on and bits from an old cassette recorder.
i did try to give description verbally but even i coudn't understand it so i gave in. i will try to photo tomorrow with a brief detail. magic stuff richie
couldn't take decent pics of the small broken bits on spring reverb, i will try and find a link again that i found with the same set up.
whilst waiting for the esr gear etc. i came across a site stating an influx of snide to3 transistors 2n3055 included.
i'm sure you's will have done a write up somewhere.
i opened up one of my transistors and it matched the inside of the snide one's.
it had very fine wires from the bass and emittor to the chip.
the pic of the quality one had proper terminals and the chip they wires went to was 3-4 times the size.
the moral of the story is what chance have we got if the parts don't work.
finally i purchased new 2n3055 tranies am i wrong in saying that i should have went for
2n3055h the net says the one's i bought are just standard and not suitable for amps. thank you richie
