Hi,
Thanks for asking Colin; yes I've just received the following email reply from Virgin Media after having explained in my previous email to them that our Virgin Media phone is out of action and will be out of action for a while yet; I think this is micky taking in the extreme but then of course so are many automated replies?
To contact Virgin Media please visit our web site at http://www.virginmedia.com
Hello, In order for us to help with your enquiry we just need a little more information from you. Kind regards, The Virgin Media team *For details on how much it costs to call our team from a Virgin Media home phone, visit callcosts. Call costs from other networks and mobiles vary. AR Help My Virgin Media Contact us Please do not reply to this email.
Makes you lose the will to live doesn't it? To add insult to injury "don't reply to this email" so I have replied.
Because Virgin employ automated robots Bron and I have an "insider" an actual living talking person who kindly gave us his email address when he visited us just in case we suffered more problems; I've just sent a request asking this kind insider to please get someone to contact us via email who can sort out our Wi-Fi connection? Once again we await a reply.
Difficult I can handle Gary because it's the way I always do things. Many thanks for your information and I'll be happy to contact you if I think you can help me out not just with this problem either. You are so right Gary regarding my track record on modern technology; I'm forever hitting the buffers but what the heck if I wasn't fighting some problem or other life would become very boring indeed. Hopefully with a new correct Virgin router it should work because the router is currently placed in the hallway next to the room where the TV/disc player are located with possibly around 18' between them and just one wall. Its very good of you to offer to assist.
Perhaps getting a BT line installed would be a good thing then I could contact Virgin Media by phone? Virgin Media are forever sending me mobile phone details perhaps their shoddy treatment towards me is a way to force a mobile onto me? Upwards and onward?
Kind regards, Col.
