Some of the Mullard valves did have magical qualities, In the R&TV trade the yellow print PC86/88 valves and some of the puckles with the same print magically failed prematurely.

But isn't the 12AX7 an ECC83 equivalent. The 12AT7 is an ECC81. Audiophoolery at its best?

I just cut and pasted the info from the e-bay listing, but left of the link to e-bay, so clearly, the seller made a typo.

I've just noted an EM34 sell for £42.00. Frankly, it's reaching a stage at which if anyone has a working vintage valve radio and is minded to sell it, they'd be better off listing the valves on e-bay and chucking the set in the skip.

As long as it is not raining the moon should still produce more light through the cloud.
