not realy we used to get thease radios in for repair and the off load volts werer what i expected . an old boss rxplained . that that was the reason for the small tx

Must admit I wouldn't have let that eliminator near a Lady Margaret unmodified - the B103 reference on the case is enough to confirm that it's intended to run 91/92/94 series valves, not the Vidor's 96 series which take half the LT current. If you're getting 1.5 volts out on load it's perhaps a tired metal rectifier that's saving the day

thanks paul thats somthing i had not noticed and you could be right about the rectifier .but i did run it up on a variac under load monitoring the Lt, at the moment it is a collectors piece and not for use.i may in the future fit a regulator.i use a modern one or my nixie based ones for normal work
