We visited the V&A East Storehouse yesterday. https://www.vam.ac.uk/east
It's a fabulous place. Entry is free, but be prepared to queue because you have to put all bags in lockers and this is a bottleneck. You can "Order an Object" free of charge which is brought to a supervised handling area. This is done in advance via the website.
There are very few labels on objects. It's all done via the vam.ac.uk website. Thankfully there's no app, just the website. There is good, free, wifi which you can access with minimal effort and no password. You enter the level you're on and the number above the rack. Then you get a list of the objects in that section. You can click for more details. Very obviously sitting on a database of the V&A's collection. It wasn't foolproof. Sometimes it didn't link to the right objects. Some racks weren't labelled and then you needed to enter the number on the tag attached to an item. This was often not readable because it was too far away to be legible.
