Yes, and the A30/A35 was even tinier. But it was a rounded shape and rolled well. Let me explain...
Back to my dear 'Gran' again. About 9 years before the events in my last post, she was in the habit of using her A30 to drive me to school, from Sundridge to Tonbridge, a distance of about 10 miles. On one icy morning she lost control on River Hill (between Sevenoaks and Tonbridge) and the little car rolled sideways over and over down the hill. This was 1959, before the days of seatbelts. I had been riding in the back but finished off sitting in the front! My Gran gained a bruise on her leg, but otherwise we were unharmed. A nice man in a Rover 105R stopped and took us home. I remember I was let off school that day. As for the A30, Gran didn't want to use it again. So she got an A35!
