Telequipment D68.

I thought I knew every model of the Telequipment D6X range of oscilloscopes but this is a new on to me. It seems to have a twin gun tube and 2 high sensitivity differential amplifiers as the Y inputs.

Can anyone shed some light on this model?

Odd one. Obviously a member of the D6x family but appears unknown online.

There is a number of scopes at Bobs workshop. Including a prewar Cossor scope with 3 inch CRT many Telequipment scopes and a D68 that came from Joe Urban in Anstruther. These will need to be tested of course. Some have been damp stored and I fear the worst unfortunately, including around 90 405 line sets with delaminated cabinets, perhaps good only for parts

Thanks for that info Trevor. If and when you get the opportunity to go back to Bob's workshop could you find out if there is a manual for it that I could borrow and scan. Even if I don't buy the scope it would worth uploading to Tekwiki.

P.S. Did you receive the RTVS 1985-86 book from Norman R?

Hi Al.
I know for definite there is no manual for the scope. If you remember both Bob and myself emptied Joe Urban's workshop amongst other places. Joe didn't have or didn't give us manuals, sadly he passed a number of years ago now.
Bob's funeral is tomorrow. His sons idea is all modern stuff will go, hundreds of flat panel sets boards are on the UKVRRR but will either go to Ebay or an electronics recycling company in Irvine. Around 40% of the stuff belongs to me but I don't have the room for it and I've enough to do these days so I've handed over my share to Bob's son
The idea is to get the museum running again and the workshop a testimony to what a TV workshop was like in the older times. The old scopes and other test equipment will be on display along with a huge collection of soldering equipment going back to before WW2, this will take a time as will repairing a lot of radios and 405 line TVs, G6, 2000, ITT CVC1 and other early colour sets plus the military radios and transmitters, a mammoth task.

So looks like a rare beast, is there a chance a lot of the circuits are similar to another TQ scope? Andy.

The 'scope shop website seems to be a list of links to ebay sales. The calibration service seems to list every scope ever made.

The D68 shares its case etc with other D6x scopes but I would expect much of the circuitry to be very different. The requirements of low BW and high gain are very different to the 25MHz general purpose scopes such as D67. If it's true dual beam then the CRT will be different too.

The oscilloscope shop does look like an extended Ebay listing. I will bookmark that site as I am also looking for V2 plugin manual.

Trev, even a few photos that could be posted on the Tekwiki site would be great.
