Associated Rediffusion

Those of us of who are Londoners of a certain age will have direct memories of watching Associated Rediffusion, the London weekday ITV contractor. But there's currently an organisation calling itself Associated Rediffusion claiming:

"Associated Rediffusion is one of the UK's oldest Independent production companies. A bafta winning company, we produce an eclectic range of programmes... from comedy to docs to arts performance to animation and more."

Does anyone know if this latter day AR is related to the original?

I remember watching Associated Rediffusion on Channel 9 from the Croydon transmitter!
According to Wikipedia the name and adastral trademark were bought by British journalist Victor Lewis-Smith in in the 1990's. Does not appear to be any connection with his company and the original Associated Rediffusion.
