Pieter Hooijmans has supplemented his very extensive history of the development of Philips Television with new information.

Among other new things it now includes more information on the experimental receivers for the 567 line standard of the 1940s.

That is a nice write-up. Did you get further documentation on your 660 from Pieter or Edvard?

Hi Peter,

The only documentation I now have, 3 pages of a component list, comes from Edvard.
His father was one of the lucky few to have an experimental projection TV in his home in the late 40s.
Those 3 pages, the French brochure, and a few diagrams survived the times and are still in his possession.

It may not seem much, 3 pages listing components (and it isn't of course), but it is the first confirmation I have seen, that confirms the existence of the direct view console set. There was no type number issued (yet?).
It was only mentioned very briefly in a Dutch magazine, reporting the first demonstration of the test transmissions in March 1948.
