Hi.
I was given a rather tatty Sony TV990-UB a few months ago and I brought it down this morning along with a Philips optical unit. I opened up the Sony and to be fair I think it's best option is for spares. There is a lot of rust, some electrolytics are corroded and these sets are not a pleasure to work on.
