Obvious point: You may need a step up or step down transformer.
Case 1: 525/60 monochrome set in UK. Just put in 625/50 and it should work with a tweak on the vertical hold and height. You will need a System M modulator. If the set has a mains transformer it might overheat due to excess magnetising current at the lower frequency. This equally applies to US radios.
Case 2: 625/50 monochrome set in the US. Just put in 525/60 and it should work with a tweak on the vertical hold and height. You will need a System I or B/G modulator as appropraite to the set. A 50Hz mains transformer will always be OK at 60Hz and may run slightly cooler.
Case 3: 405 set in the US. It's not on the Aurora website but the SCRF manual says there's a SCRF-343A variant which does 525/60 to 343/60 with System A channels. As well as vertical hold and height, the horizontal hold may need a slight tweak. Since the only difference between SCRF variants is firmware this should be available on request. Just ask Darryl. Obviously if you have a signal source on the native standard of the set, or on 625/50 for a 405 set then you can use the set as in its native country. You may have hum problems as the smoothing on early sets wasn't always good enough. That can normally be fixed with modern electrolytics. If there's a mains transformer its magnetic field may disturb the picture.
Colour? I might cover this in another post.
