Some Soviet TV Sets

I joined a back to the USSR type forum and can forward a few pics of Soviet TV sets. Here is the "Огонёк" 1964 black and white TV set. I thought maybe to someone it might be of interest.

Here is a 1991 TV set from the era of Yeltsin. This may be similar to the one I lifted and it weighed a ton. "Оризон" is the make of the TV set. By 1990 the Gorbachev era was pretty much over.

And here the "Т-1 Москвич" с I-кв from 1947 when Stalin was still in power. There appear to be hundreds of old Soviet TV sets, car-radios, valve radios and automobile radios.

Try buying one at a flea market and they cost a fortune!

I have a 1970s Polish TV, very similar in design. VHF 625 line.

It's now acknowledged the origins of the 625 line system is Russian.

Never deride the Russians and their work in electronics and especially computer programming, the west have been good at propaganda too, extolling they were at the forefront...... As they say in Scotland...... Aye right Jimmy!!!!
