The BBC analogue field-store converter was briefly described in Wireless World 1967 October (pp.476, 477) and was said to have been scheduled for its first operational use on September 10 that year, to relay the World Golf series finals. Interesting was that the field-store unit converted from 525/60 to 525/50, with subsequent conversion to 625/50 being done by line-store units, one for luminance and one for chrominance. Reverse conversion, 625/50 to 525/60 was said to have been possible, but no details were given. The line-store converter was mentioned briefly in WW 1963 October (p.494).
