Don't understand the picture.
The top one looks like the apron so has it got a saddle and cross slide?
The bottom one looks like the compound slide.

What else have you got?
I fear I'd take a very dim view of that sort of jiggery-pokery

I agree, Alan. The part with the lever is a front (apron) of a saddle and the other bit is, as you say, a compound or top slide with a tool holder. This assembly fits on the cross slide. You will need the feed screw and handle assembly and these can often be found on ebay.

Hi Sean, I see you have the gib strip (flat bit with dimples on it. This is quite important and there should be one with each of the sliding surfaces. It allows you to adjust then foe smooth operation and minimum free play.
