OK, getting there, but I still don't know what else you have - Saddle, Bed, Headstock, Leadscrew, Tailstock, etc, etc.
Can you post a picture of the whole thing please?
Alan I'm sorry I never realised you didn't think I had the rest of the lathe ...my bad ... I have basically the whole lathe bar cross slide and the rest of the topslide. The motor is kindly been donated by Peter who I can't thank enough ... Don't have a saddle, I take that's what the cross slide mounts too? See I'm a greenhorn I know nothing
Hi Sean, Gumtree pic looks like the cross slide you are missing. This should bolt onto the apron which is on the front of the lathe.
Gib strip is shown on lower R of gumtree pic, on of these is required for each sliding surface. The dimples locate on the points of the screws that come through from the edge of the slides.
You have a tailstock centre, tailstock chucks were often an optional extra.
Topslide pic appears to be without the handle and screw, possibly also gib strip.
Banjo (that takes screw cutting gears appears complete, but did you get any gears with it?
The clamping piece sitting on the bed appears to be a saddle stop.
If you get to the Newcastle area at all I would look it over for you and show you a working version.
