Is the Sony TC-V701 compatible with the LBT-D505 series?

Needing to replace a faulty TCD505 double cassette deck which is part of a stacking system based around the LBT-D505 and TA-D505 amplifier/control unit, I have found aTC-V701 on eBay which also uses two ribbon connectors to link it to the rest of the system.  It dates from 1990, which is a bit earlier than the similar 505 & 707 series systems, but does anyone know if it is compatible with them?

Hi.
I remember both decks when in Sony. It's a big ask though to remember if they are the same as these are old machines now.
I'd be inclined to try and get manuals for both decks.
My friend has just shut his Radio and TV service repair shop due to age and the ill health of his wife. I do know he has a massive stock of Sony manuals as Bob and myself got them from Sony Glasgow when they closed.
I can ask him but I can't guarantee he still has them or is able to spend time and look due to his situation and his wife's ill health.
I will try and find out in a few days.

Thanks, Murphy 310. I will also check on HiFi Engine and other sites to see if I can source a manual from one of them. I do know that Sony and others produced outwardly similar items which weren't always interchangeable due to differences in the way they connected together.
