A vintage, perhaps TK23 L de luxe, Grundig Reel to Reel,tape recorder, bought a while ago for £5-00, from local boot sale, Works perfect, i dont think it has had a lot of use, pics below the only cosmetic thing is the front sighn/ facia has risen needs regluing, im tempted to leave well alone.....regards....Alan.

I wish there were things like this at my local car boot.. a lovely Bush transistor radio battered and bruised marked "Not For Sale" and an old Technics tuner (separates)..
Nice buy!

This happened on my Ferguson Music Center, I got it off, popped it in the vice with some padding on it so it wasn't marked and re-glued it! Lovely Smile

That's the Auromatic version, so when you record with it, it should set it's own levels. But be careful because it does not always work!

I'm glad it works, because they are devils to get apart. Clean the heads and keep using it.

I haver the circuit if needed.

Where can you get cassette head cleaner nowadays?
I'm on the look out for some

I tend to use cotton buds and Isopropyl Alcohol. With the cassette door open and play pressed, the heads and capstan come out and can be cleaned.

Don't use head cleaning tapes. Nasty things.

agree with steve head cleaners are to be avoided we used small shamie leather on plastic sticks with ipa alot of time heads were clean. just magnatised, degauss them ahha teres the treblel back
