Not sure what thread this should be in, but I've been an admirer of Tatjana's work for many many years. I don't remember singing her praises here, so ...
There are wonderful craftsmen & women, artists, scientists and engineers all around us, but very very few who are all of those things at the same time...
Tatjana van Vark has all the above in abundance - from making her own oscilloscope to her own design aged 14, to the glorious "Harmonium", her wonderful uprated Enigma machine (the four rotators contains 509 parts each!), her complete, functioning, rebuilt/remade H2S Mk9A radar (in her house!), her homebuilt working miniature H2S, the beautiful Antikythera....
Everything built in her tiny workshop.
An inspiration to us all...
