If I had to change one of the shoe fuses, I am sure I would check more than once that the pick up shoes
were clear from the rail, Excellent viewing Rob.

After you paddle up the trick is to cut the unit back in and check it goes to emergency lighting. Final test in ye olde dayz was to brush the back of your hand against the ribbon fuse, if it was live the DC would make your hand contract away from the fuse.
