"Class 5 means its a 5 watter. " BS baffles brains, I doubt the wee thing could do 5W, the OPT is tiny (maybe it can but distortion would be hideous). I don't know how Marshall have the cheek to build such a cheap bit of tat and put their name on it. If it were mine I'd chuck everything , keep the cab and build a proper amp with decent iron and a vintage speaker with a cast basket. The reason it may sound loud is not because it's actually loud but thoroughly distorted both acoustically and physically. If your going to do a job do it right else your just wasting your time and money.

I have to say its LOUD. I've a 5 watt Matamp Little Rock, hand wired and custom built which is incredibly loud (windows etc vibrate at 2/3 volume indoors and a friend of mine used it his group and it could be heard with the drummer. The Class 5 is louder in that respect. I have been working on a handwired circuit for this but I'm going to stick with the original PCB for the time being.

I've just bought another Class 5 too at a very cheap price. At this rate I'll have enough stock to set up a small guitar and amp shop!
