Just picked up one of these pretty little art deco radios for a fiver at a local boot fair.
Mine is the ivory Plaskon one. Slight damage to the case but manageable (certainly acceptable given the price).
Inside is a bit the worse for wear - speaker cone is a bit rotten, there's some rust and there has been a bit of a horrific attempt to convert it from 110/120vac to 230vac by putting a large ceramic resistor in series with the mains input... Not great. At least they added an aluminium shield to protect the case from heat.
I need to remake one of the red feet etc. Where to go to get advice on this little beauty?
