    Hello.

This is the next job on the list, The signal Genarator part is working A1 but the T2 has one or two Hunts Capacitors inside so when i change them we will see how good it works.

I recently acquired one of those and upon initial test, yes, the Hunts capacitors required replacement; no other remedial work was required. Since then, I've used it on a few occasions and the indicated results compare favourably with the calibration standards that I have and also with measurements taken on other instruments.

Looking at your photo, it doesn't show the 'stand-off' platform which plugs into the chrome-plated pillars at the top of the instrument. That platform is a very useful accessory: the manual explains the 'why' and the 'how'.

Quite: from an exam., it looks like the platform is made of Paxolin. The mounting pillars are side-spring loaded (the chrome look is very nice, but it's not an essential finish) so as to make a push fit into the socketed female pillars that are mounted on the top of the case. I'm sure that  conventional 4mm. spring-retention plugs would suffice + a bit of engineering ingenuity. Do you know anyone who has a lathe? That would help. Of course, the whole idea of this platform is to reduce to an absolute minimum the component ↔ chassis / earth capacity . . . . relevant when measuring very small inductances or capacitances.

I have been known to do a bit of Lathe Work if pressed
Yorkie has a nice little Lathe, probably more suitable than mine.
