rewiring Avo two panel tester

Hi All,
I switched the unit on first time and it appears to be working well. However, having taken so long to put it all back together I cant find the chassis screws. Does anyone have any idea what type of the threaded screws this would have had? (its certainly NOT a BA thread - far too early).

I wish I'd got a spare B9 Plug then I could start at that end.
Anybody got a duff B9 Valve or a Plug?

Valves with a B9 base listed in my valve data book (my only source) I checked the whole book...:

QP240.
AC/HL/DDD.
AC/TP.
TP22.
TP1340.
TP2620.

Enclosed as refs for an Ebay watch/search etc.

Thanks Lawrence. I'd already identified AC/TP but I'll have a look for the others. If I can get a cheap one there may have to be a ritual sacrifice :-(
I fear I'll probably not make it to Golborne again which is a pity 'cause I might find something suitable there.

I have a TP22 in the 'upper stores'. Is it a good one? I don't know.

Will clamber up and find it and test it later.

Seems I have four 9 pins in Misc 1 box.

An AC/TP that tests good

A TP 2620 that looks NOS

A TP22 that tests good

A WD, marked A R T P. 1 made by Cossor. In pencil and ink someone has written V2B on it. I have no data on this valve and so cant test it. Far as I'm concerned you are welcome to it.

According to the 1947 RSGB Service Valve Equivalents, Page 9, ARTP1 is CV1344 which is TP22 in the Valve Museum.
Best check it. There's no point writing off a good one.

The ACTP tests good but doesn't have any metalising and its 4V but I have only one.

The TP2620 tests good, looks NOS but probably has little application with its 26V heater.

The TP22 tests good and has metalising.

The ARTP1 tests good as a TP22 and has metalising.

So why don't you have either the ARTP1 (TP22) as I have another good TP22. Or the TP2620. I wont ever use either, they have been up in stores for >10 years and will still be there in another !

There isn't much call for the TP22, the last one had one bidder on Ebay:

As for the TP2620 I cant see it ever being needed.

To me one of those valves would do more good sacrificing its base to make the tester work.

Thanks for sorting it out. I have to think that the ARTP1 has some historical significance as it must have been used in some sort of Military Radio so one of these days someone might want an authentic one. That leaves the TP2620 I guess.
Either suits me.
Would you do the deed? It's a bit like taking your Pet to the Vet to be put down, but it saves on Postage in this case
