Yep I found the Doofa.

Are you suggesting that I resleeve them? I can unsolder at the valve panel side, sleeve and then resolder. The single copper wire makes movement a bit restrictive. Will they not snap in time (although having said this they are still in one piece since it was made in the late 1930's!!).

Yes Rob, I think that's how mine was done, sleeved that is, and it looks old although possibly not original.
A few different colours would be helpful.
I suspect that the single strand Wire is the reason they keep breaking on mine.
I'm glad you've got the Doofa as well as it implies it's an original bodge not a later one

I can't get that Download to complete at the moment Lawrence. It sticks with 1 Second to go. I'll give it another go later.

Yes, you will have to pick out the relevant bits ie: Mk1 (Two Panel) Mk111 or the CT160.

That looks like the VMARS Data all joined up into one Document. Still, it's no disadvantage to have it like that.

It is one of those things that is worth having.
I don't own a valve tester and the prices have gone stupid.
The way I go is to look at the circuit either of what I intend to use the valve in or something that runs at roughly the same power and lash something up.
The PDF is a good reference for doing this.

Indeed so. That's why I have a High Voltage PSU and a Transformer which gives lots of typical Heater Voltages.
It's easy to lash up a Circuit with a couple of AVOs, a Signal Generator and a 'scope and see what a Valve is doing.

I posted that last link because it's more comprehensive than the link I originally sourced from the web (UKVRR) which I chose to view.

The last link gives a circuit description which is always handy.

If it were me I would replace the connector cable with some nice flexible silicone covered stuff.
