Wireless Mains Adapter-Frequency etc.?

I know zilch about FET's except that they normally have a high input impedance as I used to make regens with them years ago.
It wouldn't take much to knock up a seperate osc, (never tried the classic tapped cathode Hartley at those low frequencies)
to drive the FET then you can tune the tank for el maximo.

I know it may sound like heresy, but rather than get annoyed and blow up lots of devices...

...why not use LTspice and simulate the circuit (actually quite easy when you get the hang of it). You can home in on a working solution much faster that way... when you're closer to what you want, THEN build it... saves a lot of aggro...

There's a lot of help out there for various spice implementations - LTspice (also known as SwitcherCAD) is completely free (from Linear Technology), actively maintained and has a great support group on Yahoo! http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LTspice/

I will proceed to forthwith evict all manner of 3 legged fuses from my goodies boxes.
The new Hacker wireless charger will be based on the following joyful triode. this will be plied with volts at reasonable current so that the light shineth forth from within it's viscerals. Then it will have about 3KV stuffed up it so the anodic cherry glow adds to the overall delight in such things.
I even have a base for it. Maybe it will be possible for people across the water to know when my Hacker is on charge if they listen on the LW, MW ,SW and perhaps FM bands.

I guess it would look good too next to the radio and in the winter would add significantly to the lounge heating.
I only have one 833 and I was thinking about the portable GDO, If I can find a decent trolley.............................................

The Tx part is working Ok with 2 x 813s in PP, Starts Ok and the Anodes and Coils are a nice red colour. Coil is 1 turn of 22mm water pipe. The Hacker is a bit frizzled up though., even the speaker grill melted and sparks came off the handle.
Joking aside, it works Ok with a single power transistor and everything is cool and civilised. (Sad) I found that about 15V dc into an 150 resistor was just fine on the Rx side which would be ample to charge 6 x AA cells via a current limiter and maybe a bit of circuitry to feed the radio while on charge and connect to the batteries when not charging. There would be 2 of these in series as per the normal 2 x PP9.
Any ideas for ccts to do this would be appreciated.

Just to show I haven't given up on this....... Yet, here is a piccy of the charger unit, all works Ok at 30KHz input about 200mA off load. when loaded abot 800mA. next step is the unit to house this and hold the radio in place.
