How did you manage that? I'm jealous. I've often fancied on to go with myB40. It would have to be a B28 of course.
Whenever I've seen one for sale it's gone for more than I was prepared to pay. I'll have to save up.

I thought so, although I wouldn't care to quote a figure from memory.
B40s, apart from Ds, go for about £40-£50, although you have to collect it due to the weight so it's best to find one fairly close. I've also got an 'Outfit FAZ', the SSB Adaptor, which is generally much the same price. By the way, the FAZ isn't connected at the moment. So, I suppose I expect the B28 to be much the same.

B28 is basically CR100. The B28 (I've got one!) is the version used by the Admiralty (Now the RAF?).

i was trained on two pye sets made in canada , when i was in the signals corp, this was back in the mid fifties, they were known as the no 19 , and no22, all the instructions were in russian, it took two men to carry them around, they were built on a wooden board , three sections , a generater, a receiver , and a transmitter, story was that they were built for the russian front, but the russians were coming across europe too quickly so the allies dident send them , and they ended up with us in ireland, regards maitiu.

Steve i think i gave approx £30.00 each for them, SteveP is correct, Alan i bought them on a radio site, Ahem , they seem to fetch silly money at times, on the big e site. i also have an AR88LF which i paid £70.00 for, to be honest i am not a lover of this radio, as the CR100 seem to perform better, perhaps the AR88 needs a good tune up, this is a job on its own.....Alan.
