Google Pixel 8A

Bought this sometime ago and still lots to learn.

Couldn't get Bluetooth sorted although it pairs with the PC OK.  I have not found a way of moving pics from it to the PC.

So I tried a USB cable approach and the Pixel 8A shows up on the PC system tray but on opening just comes up "With this folder is empty".  Any ideas of why that is.  On an old not smart phone its folders show up on the PC just fine.

Try unlocking the phone.  It may then give you the option to allow or deny access.  That's how I have to do it with my Samsung S22 and it's S8 predecessor.

I have never set any locks on it Jeffrey so not that as far as I can see. If I go into Security it wants me to set locks and thats it.

When I say "unlock" I mean swiping the screen or whatever you do to get to your usual home screen. I need to do this even if I haven't set a lock on my phone.

Also you need to explicitly enable File Transfer on the phone when you connect USB.

Every time you plug in the USB cable, you have specifically select to transfer files, each time. My pixel, after a security update, also wants a finger print too.
