As way of reply, the next basket case on the bench is a Murphy U102 which also has 2 cord systems, the dial string of which is snapped and the condenser string is rusted on the spindle so it will not last long.

This one is possibly the dirtyest set I have yet had in, dust inches thick on every horizontal surface, many tiny bodied spiders, some alive.
Its so bad that it was impossible to distinguish the valve caps from the valve bodies.

It has been on the shelf with a couple of Philips sets so just maybe they are a cord contagion. Or Accordian?

The glass is bust and part missing, long shot but I am feeling lucky, has anyone got a spare glass for a Murphy U102 series set, console or radiogram?
The string I have plenty of thanks. You could say I am strung out. Just stringing it out a bit.
