I'm hoping that I can get on top of this one (?) but my friend and colleague who has the Sessionette amplifier also has a Mk IV WEM Copicat (same as mine). He tried to use it but no echo and limited output. I did say to him that I would have a look at it and try to help if I can.
I've had the first opportunity (I've actually been undertaking consultancy work again) today, and I've initially tried this by putting a 500Hz square wave signal (good idea?) through the input and out to a small amp. Yes, there is output through the gain control which seems ok BUT nothing else seems to work; no echo, swell, sustain, the 3 switches don't seem to do anything so something is wrong. Another challenge is how to be able to test this through the circuit given that it has the tape running on the top of the chassis with the circuit boards underneath - I'm sure that must have been a similar issue with a reel to reel tape recorder?
I would really like to learn from this unit if I can??
(the picture I've add is NOT the one I'm trying to work on, its just for show)
Best Regards
Rob
