STR441 - what isit?

I've found a few TO3 cased devices marked "Sanken STR441" in a drawer. They have 3 pins, rather than the usual 2. Lots of online references to "sanken str441" but nothing I've found tells me what it actually is. Several for sale but no data sheet that I can find.
Does anyone know anything about it?
