Having removed all the screws from the cabinet of this 1970's stereo (including the one hidden under the turntable!) I find that the wooden upper cabinet is still held at the front LH corner (the cassette deck end). I haven't removed the scale assembly but cannot see another screw anywhere!) The cassette lid & lift assembly is broken so it's possible, though unlikely, that part of this is fouling the inside of the cabinet, but acess isn't possible without removing the cabinet top, os a 'catch 22' situation exists. I've also removed the only two visible screws holding the plastic moulded cover over the cassette mech./VU meter assembly, but cannot lift that off, either. Anyone know the answer, please?
(PS - I think this qualifies as 'vintage' as it was made in the 1970s and is badged 'National Panasonic')
