Apologies if this question breaches any forum rules, but I read somewhere that these PSUs have been banned. Considering that they do not generate any of the interference produced by switch mode supplies, they are, IMHO, better than switchers, their only disadvantages being size, weight and cost. Does the ban apply to all Linear PSUs?
