I was more surprised by the bog-standard plastic cased 24" BRC 1500 that made a fairly eye-watering £50 on ebay recently. Strong money for one of those, especially untested and as-found, having sat festering in someone's garage for years.

I wonder who was brave enough to take on the Baird?
