Mark, don't worry about it. We can come vaguely back to topic by wondering how much material there is out there on obsolete formats and whether there are enough machine hours available to recover it all.
If any big stashes of Quadruplex tapes turn up, possibly in Russia, (they made copies of the machines) it's unlikely that enough head hours exist. It's unlikely that anything like that will turn up in the UK. I know of a "sleeping" pile of 300+ quad tapes but understand that they should all have been previously recovered and wiped. They aren't stored in good conditions and I doubt it's worth the effort and head hours of even sampling them.
