Still, IMO, a working CRT, EHT, some frame scan and decent line scan is the hard bits. The rest is just a tuner with a wide and narrow IF. Time for scope and see if IF or detector or tuner is the issue. Now just persevering with the signal chain will get you there! I'd be delighted if that was mine.
