I've saved myself some work. There is no necessity to exchange the EHT transformer in the HMV 900 for the new transformer. The set has already been equipped with a replacement transformer. See first attachment.
The EHT transformer in the Marconi 702 is a special one made by the Majestic Transformer Company in Poole Dorset. A similar transformer is installed in the HMV 901.
So it follows the recently rewound EMI transformer will be fitted in the HMV 902. A new adaptor plate will be made for this application.
A box to contain the EHT components should be made for the HMV 902 using the dimensions of the box in the 900 which are: 8 1/4" long, 4 3/8" deep and 8 1/2 high.
