Yes, of course you're right about the oscillator coil. That'll teach me to post on little sleep, when I know damn well that the can with the red slug has the oscillator coil.
Anyway, it's a neat arrangement on this set. It's a shame that the case has suffered some damage. Evidently it was dropped at some point, possibly onto something with green paint. Anyway, I've manage to polish the dial window to give some degree of transparency. I used Turtle Wax clarifying compound left over from doing some car headlights. What's everyone's favourite for this job?
