It's theoretically feasible to modulate the sound on to a 3.5MHz carrier, add it to the vision and modulate the whole lot on to the carrier.
In practice it would be very hard to get good results.
The modulator chips used on Aurora and Hedghog can do sound and vision on a single chip for many standards but not for 405. Or 819 for that matter. Hence the need for 2 of them.
