The A&R A60 is a solid state amp. I do recall now (I must be getting old) that when I bought it the seller did say that the amp was off balance. I used this for ages up in my 'office' being a box room at 2.3m wide and didn't seem to be a lot of issue. Now that its down in the extension (built to latest building regs so that the walls are 30cm thick and insulated) the distance between the speakers is 3m so not a huge amount of difference in width, the balance is much more noticeable? I have swapped the speakers over and the balance is no different, its still lower on the left.
One thing I have changed is that I have swapped the cables (QED 79 strand) for QED XT silver anniversary leads.
