I had it mounted in an old coil winder that did the counting of the turns so I could considerate on pulling off the wire while trying not to break it.
I did spend nearly all day at it and had enough of it by the time I had finished. But it was worth it as it was the only way to find out the number of turns.
Just as well I did as I had guessed that it wound be between 8000 and 1200 turns but I was way out.
