What video outputs does the 'COW' provide? I'm not at all familiar with it, but off the top of my head I would have thought the direct outputs could have been fed directly to a monitor if that was all that was required at the museum? (Just curious really).
We had one of these units at BFBS where it generated the BFBS logo - early 80's I think ? It was provided around the time the BBC licenced the manufacture to an outside company. The original BBC designer came over to see us to see what as required and I think he eventually designed it. Really nice chap whose name is familiar to many here I'm sure - Richard? We were chatting one day over a cuppa and I gently enquired of him why, when the BBC2 'stripey' symbol finished animating, there was a small, short orange stripe in the bottom left hand corner of the screen? He couldn't believe it so we played one back from a VT off air example and hey presto there was the 'glitch' hiding in plain sight in the active picture area. I assume it was subsequently corrected, I can't remember after all these years.
