Well, the OP does say that his DAC90a chassis is an early one, that being so if the UL41 is original it will also be an early one. So, well worth isolating pin 4.
There are a few other mods worth doing - from the UBC41 anode there's a 0.003μF bypass capacitor to chassis which can easily be dropped to 470pF. The sound will be less muffled - the original value I'm sure was a typo on the Bush parts list, which stayed there into production - 0.0003μF is much more plausible!
