Hi.
My very good friend Adam has kindly sent me a Soviet TV from the mid 50's a Record make.
It was very dirty and I'm glad it was as no doubt the customs would have thought it valuable and thus been charged for duty.
Fortunately there was no extra charges to pay.
Its nicely put together and very accessible to work on. the valve screening cans are held in a very novel way with a triangular fitting. The LOPT is done correctly and not in pitch but a high quality varnish, the EHT rectifier is on a similar base to a B7G. Fortunately Adam kindly sent some spare valves. The CRT is 36cm very slightly smaller than an MW36-24, the Mullard would fit as there is enough room.
You'll see there has been something mounted on the side of the chassis which I think is two flat selenium rectifiers, there are three connections that I assume are for this.
I don't have a circuit which would be very helpful.
Looking forward to see it working.
