The line output transformer in my Pye CTM4 has failed again. Arcing took place on the EHT overwind and now the PL81 anode glows red hot. There's nothing to lose by removing the overwind and if that's successful a tripler can be employed to supply the EHT.
The first attachment shows the scanning components on the electrostatic focus CRT installed in the Pye CTM4.
It's possible late production VT4 sets are similar.
