Hi.
Today I got some results on screen. The issue was in fact the used B8B base I had to use for the CRT. The cathode socket was so loose it was not making contact and to crown it all the lead from my tester is faulty.
Still a bit to do then the Frame osc tx needs to come out but we have sound now, video and locked line, focus doesn't work and there is low line drive but that may just need the drive trimmer set up, very dodgy on the set as I'll need to support the CRT and keep away from the mains energised EHT...... oh dear.
