Hi Peter, I'm IEE, but with access to other institutions libraries. PM me with specifics and I'll see what I can do, you may be able to get access to The IEE library on line and search a lot of the stuff they have.
I was surprised at these large tubes, as most of the well known WW2 stuff appeared to stop at VCR97 size with lots of smaller stuff (what did you monitor on a 1CP1 ?).
I was aware of the unit with a connection in the middle of the screen, but had thought it was only a 6" type. A study of the CV numbers may reveal how many larger types there were.
