There may well be errors in the article, though looking at Mark's comments on another thread, are they of any great importance in the context of the story? Which is about honouring a radio pioneer.
What disturbs me is the frequent use of EKCO, all capitals. The Wikipedia article is inconsistent, using both EKCO and Ekco: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EKCO I would use Ekco. At least they didn't say "Ecko" or "Echo".
A quick google also found EKCO, the Edinburgh Kitchen Company.
