Hi all
I am still at a complete loss on this one.
I still cannot understand why pins 3&4 are connected on the EZ81 as it doesn't seem right having looked at various videos such as Uncle Doug's? I have tried bypassing the mains switch with a direct connection - no difference to the hum. I have cut pins 3 & 4 on the EZ81 - no hum (hooray!) BUT no audio output whatsoever.
Can anyone suggest for an absolute novice like me what point to investigate with the 'scope to look at the signal outputs.
I really feel like junking this old amp as its causing me nothing but grief and it must be boring the hell out of you guys!!
Best Regards
